​The Area Sales Director (m/f/d) is responsible for a specific international region where he/she will maintain contact with existing and/or potential distributors, as well as end customers, advise them and sell Heidelberg Engineering products. He/she builds a long-term sales strategy to meet the company's objectives.

Ihre Aufgaben

  • Support and care for a specific distributor group, as well as acquisition of new customers
  • Central contact for and active support of distributors within the region
  • Identification of potential dealers for the respective markets without local representation
  • Development of a long-term sales strategy for sales optimization in coordination with the Head of Sales
  • Development of market analyses for the respective sales regions
  • Setting up measures to optimize sales figures
  • Setting sales targets in consultation with the local distributor and ongoing monitoring of these results
  • Negotiating contract terms and price structures with distributors
  • Conducting and actively advising sales meetings
  • Advising end customers in cooperation with the distributor
  • Conducting training sessions at distributor and presentations of products to end customers
  • Preparation of quotations in cooperation with Order Processing and Order Acceptance
  • Participation in international as well as local congresses and internal sales events
  • Authority to issue directives

Ihre Qualifikationen

  • Degree in sales, business administration or commercial training with equivalent professional experience (> 5 years)
  • Relevant work experience in the field of indirect sales and account management
  • Relevant education or work experience in ophthalmic field is an advantage
  • Very good knowledge of MS-Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Very good English language skills, as well as in the region to be served
  • Experience with CRM programs
  • Technical understanding
